1. Booking & deposits
When you submit a booking online, your chosen time is held briefly while you pay a deposit, with a 15 minute buffer built in to keep the day unhurried.
A deposit is required to secure every online booking, shown as part of the price at checkout and taken securely via our payment provider, SumUp. Your appointment is confirmed as soon as the deposit payment goes through. If payment isn't completed, the time slot isn't held.
Please arrive on time for your appointment. If you're running late, message the studio on WhatsApp or by phone. We'll always try to fit you in, but a treatment may need to be shortened or rebooked if there isn't enough time left in the day.
2. Rescheduling & cancellations
Plans change, and that's alright. Please just give us at least 48 hours' notice so we can offer your slot to another client.
Once a deposit has been paid, appointments cannot be cancelled for a refund. A paid deposit can only be moved to a new date and time. It cannot be released back to you if you simply want to cancel. To reschedule, please contact the studio directly by phone, WhatsApp or email; rescheduling isn't available through the website itself.
If you don't show up for an appointment without any notice, the deposit for that visit is forfeited and a new deposit will be needed to book again.
3. Refunds
Deposits are not refundable once paid, in line with the rescheduling policy above. The remaining balance for a treatment is only taken once the service has been carried out.
If the studio needs to change or cancel your appointment, for illness, an emergency, or another reason on our side, you'll always be offered a new time or a full refund of your deposit, whichever you'd prefer.
4. Privacy & data protection (UK GDPR)
Rembo Beauty, 501C Hucknall Rd, Nottingham, NG5 1FW, United Kingdom, is the data controller for the personal information described below. We keep this simple: we collect only what we need to run your appointments well, and we don't sell or share it beyond what's needed to operate the studio.
What we collect
Your name, email address and phone number when you book or get in touch; the treatments, dates and times you choose; and any notes you add for your appointment (allergies, preferences, or anything we should know).
Why we collect it, and our legal basis
- To create and manage your booking, and send confirmation and reminder messages: necessary to fulfil our contract with you.
- To respond to enquiries you send us: our legitimate interest in running the studio.
- To keep basic financial and appointment records for accounting and tax purposes: a legal obligation.
- To feature a client photo or testimonial: only ever with your explicit consent, given separately (see Photos & images below).
How long we keep it
We keep booking and customer records for as long as you continue to book with us, and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet accounting and legal requirements (typically up to six years), after which it's deleted.
Who we share it with
Only the essential service providers that let the studio run: our email provider (to send booking confirmations), our website hosting and database provider, and our payment processor, SumUp (to take deposit payments). Each only receives what it needs to do its job, and none of them may use your data for their own marketing.
Cookies & local storage
We don't use advertising or tracking cookies. The site uses only what's strictly necessary to work: a secure sign in session for studio staff, and your in progress booking selections, which are kept in your browser and cleared once your booking is confirmed.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you can ask us to: give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you; correct anything that's inaccurate; delete your data where we're not required to keep it; restrict or object to certain processing; or receive your data in a portable format. To use any of these rights, contact the studio using the details below. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Children
Our services and website are intended for adults, not children.
Changes to this policy
If we make meaningful changes to how we handle your data or run our booking policies, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
5. Photos & images
We always ask first before using any client photo on the website, in the gallery, or on social media, and you're free to say no with no effect on your treatment. If you'd like a photo removed after it's been shared, just get in touch and we'll take it down.
